Big "5" London Aerial Photo Event
Saturday, 24 October, 2009 - 14:00
Londoners: this is the BIG photo event. We've received confirmation from the South Bank that we have permission to use the space! Please note time change to 2pm.
On Saturday, the 24th of October, at 2pm, come to Jubilee Gardens right next to the London Eye. We're gathering hundreds upon hundreds of people to form what may be the world's biggest "5".
Confused? We'll be syncing this up with select major cities around the world: Sydney, Delhi, Copenhagen, DC, Quito, who are doing major aerial art events with a "3" "5" or "0". The UN is going to need to work cooperatively with other countries to solve the climate crisis, and we're going to show them how. Please come down to be a part of this unprecedented global awareness event.
We've coordinated so that people can attend from The Bigger Picture event, where you can go before or after for workshops, art and education, and the Big Blow, where you help can make some noise for 350, and we've received positive confirmations from other organizers and groups around the city. Organizer Nicolas S., who had previously posted a big London event here on 350.org called London350, is now working collaboratively with us to make the Big 5 a reality.
In addition to making photographic history in coordination with concerned citizens around the world, we'll have entertainment and information to give you both the full perspective on 350 and the energy to carry the message forward through the Copenhagen UN negotiations.
See you there!
