Building Backyard Gardens!

Sunday, 10 October, 2010 - 10:00 - 15:00

Collective Roots, a food justice non-profit in East Palo Alto, will be hosting an event to establish ten backyard gardens for eager gardeners in East Palo Alto. Volunteers will help install raised garden beds and plant a variety of winter vegetables for families with limited access to fresh, healthy, sustainable fruits and vegetables.

Extra volunteers will help establish a community garden in East Palo Alto for families without access to land on which they can grow.

Spanish speakers and avid gardeners are greatly appreciated, but all are welcome!

How to Get Involved Planning the Event: To get involved, please contact Nicole Wires, Food System Change Coordinator at Collective Roots, at nicole (at) collectiveroots.org or 650.324.2769.
