10-10-10 Quaker Meeting

Redwood Forest Friends Meeting (Quakers), has just installed a new array of photovoltaic panels on one of our buildings, enough to offset most or all of our electrical usage. In addition, our Earthcare Interest Group has been working on actions for 10-10-10. As the result of a brainstorm at last month's business meeting, we will be presenting the following proposals to the Meeting on 10-10-10: To set a goal to make our entire property a net zero CO2 emitter by 2020; as an early step in that direction, we will come up with a tree-planting plan. On Sunday morning (10-10-10) Earthcare IG will identify approximately 10 volunteer oak seedlings on our property to protect and nurture to maturity. We have tentatively dubbed this as "SOS" for Save Our Seedlings!

While our Business Meeting on Sunday is for general Quaker business, including Earthcare IG's report, all are welcome. Quaker worship (unprogrammed, silent worship) starts at 10:00 a.m., and business meeting starts at about 11:50.
