On 10.10.10, Filipinos from all walks of life will come together for one common cause – to save Ilog Pasig and give the coming generations a cleaner future. the run anticipates over 100,000 runners from different sectors such as government offices, schools, business corporations, and many more to come together and rally for the river. The aim is to generate support for the Pasig river clean up project. The degraded river is a major source of Methane, a powerful green house gas. The Pasig River is a 27-kilometer body of water that traverses across Metro Manila and connects Laguna de Bay to Manila Bay. Today, it is one of the most polluted and toxic river systems in the Philippines. The Pasig river clean up is underway with recent successes being achieved in tributaries such as the headwaters of Paco through the collaborative efforts of ABS-CBN Kapit Bisig, The Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission, as well as many other vital project supporters.
