10/09/10 Weatherization Workshop for Low-Income Families in Fairhill Neighborhood, Philadelphia

The first of a series of workshops, led by volunteers trained by the Energy Coordinating Agency, will take place Saturday, October 9 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at HACE's office's - 167 West Allegehny St., Philadelphia.
ECA staff will co-lead this first workshop. After a power point on Climate Change, Peak Oil, the rising costs of home energy, and many ways to take actions to reduce energy and SAVE $$$, ECA staff will demo DYI techniques. All income eligible participants will receive a FREE kit of materials valued at $20, including Mortite (rope caulk), caulk gun and caulk, window/door seal, a CFL bulb, and information on how income eligible families can apply for additional FREE weatherization services by ECA (up to $6500 value) in their own homes.
The work is funded by federal and state funds.
