10/10 Friendly City Beach Party

NMB Transition Network, SEAC Student Forum, and SAMREC join forces to participate in the 10/10/10 Global Work Party
The day starts at 9:30am on the beach, where SAMREC will be releasing rehabilitated penguins back to the ocean.
This will be followed by the number 350 being sculpted into the sand while some people split up to do a beach cleanup. Recyclable waste collected on the day with be collected by GreenCycle.
An gazebo will be set up on the beach where you can learn more about the different organizations involved and what all this "350" stuff is about.
Students living in the university residences will also be treated to a screening in their lounges of a short film called The Story of Stuff, and be told a bit more about the recycling system that has been set up for the Res.
