10:10 Green Week

Action “10:10 - Green Week” is created in response to the dramatic climate changes that have so far caused the reduction of arable land, water shortages, food prices increase and the need for biofuels, which mostly affected poor countries and the health of people all over the world! The goal of this one week action is to launch in the public eye the issue of reduction of harmful gases emission, but also to put pressure on decision makers to do everything in their power to reduce CO2 impact on the planet by 10%.
During “10:10 - Green Week” that is to be held from the 4th to 10th October, representatives of Fund Ecotopia and the British Embassy will plant 100 trees in the National Park Tara, on Tuesday, October 5, and thereby symbolically join the global action 10:10 that will take place in more than 140 countries of the world.
On Thursday, October 7, Fund Ecotopia representatives will organize a workshop for employees at the Embassy on the following topics: Climate Change - How Can We Stop It?, Biodiversity: 2010 - International Year of Biodiversity , E-Waste and Recycling.
After the workshop, at the Culture Center Rex, for representatives of the Embassy in Serbia will be shown the film of the author and founder of the organization 10:10 Franny Armstrong - The Age of Stupid.
On Friday, October 8, employees of the British Embassy will submit e - waste to recycling to the company “Božić i sinovi”.
