10.10.10 Challenge

The League of Women Voters Wisconsin Rapids Area (LWVWRA), together with other League chapters around the state, is asking people to take action to reduce their energy usage. Individuals can pledge to plug electronics into power strips that are turned off at night, wash clothes in cold water, bike or walk to work or school, insulate their homes, or many other energy saving ideas. Pledge forms are available in Wisconsin Rapids at McMillan Library, Lincoln High School, Assumption High School, and at LWVWRA's website (www.lwvwra.org). Returned pledge forms will be eligible for a drawing for an environmental goodie bag.
