10/10/10 CMC Bike Only Event

We hope to kick-off the event with an open-house at the Bike Shop and have people be able to fix up their bikes, pump up tires, learn how easy it is to rent, and maybe have some free goodies to "pimp their green rides." Also we will be selling event tanks and a number of first comers will be able to get freebie shirts.

Currently, we are working on having Village breakfast/brunch places offer discount certificates to students who participate in the event. This will encourage people to hop on their bikes, and enjoy a discount meal off-campus. It would be a great opportunity for students to try new places in the Village, as well.

Lewis Corson and I are still only beginning to plan this event, and would love to have the whole Claremont community involved. I encourage other 5C colleges to join forces with CMC.
