NEW SCHEDULE Everyone welcome Rain or Shine! 8am Join CHIANG MAI's MAYOR TASSANAI at The Chiang Mai Railway Station Park designated an Urban Forest by the Mayors office (Green Lungs for the city) Plant tree (s) and plaque commemorating the 101010 global event. Your chance to sign up to the peoples pledge where individuals can make a difference cut your carbon use by 10% each year starting 2010. The Mayor was the first to sign and nearly 10,000 have pledged their names so far!!
Join Chiang Mai Cycling Network and other community 'grassroots' groups. Bring your own banners, posters and flags, dress up pink and green and white and add 350 10:10:10 logos to your own designs. At the park the Mayor Tassanai will demonstrate the city's new composter and BRING ALL YOUR OLD BATTERIES, LIGHT BULBS, PRESSURE CANS,CD'S ETC as there will be new city collection bins for hazardous waste available. Sign Banners and watch films with the first media 'scoop' announcement "CHIANG MAI TO BE THE FIRST 10:10 GREEN ECO CITY IN SOUTH EAST ASIA"! 10.30am From the railway stn. park we will ride to Taphae Gate with MAYOR TASSANAI JOINING BY BIKE! 1 TIME ROUND THE OLD CITY MOAT TOGETHER TO CELEBRATE 101010 ..if you can't make the circuit you can hang out at Thaphae Gate 12noon Finish Don't forget your hat, sunblock, and water bottles.snacks and rain gear( you can download ideas and logos from 350.org or 1010global.org but your own are always the best)
