10/10/10 SkillShare & Community Outreach Day--Santa Fe

Sunday, 10 October, 2010 - 13:00 - 18:00

On 10/10/10, we're planning a fun Community Outreach Day from 1-6pm, with a SkillShare from 1-3 packed with Workshops & Demonstrations on how to save money on energy bills. Learn about easy weatherization projects, how to save $$ by unplugging appliances when not in use, how to plant a garden & create compost, and how to create a community bike library. We'll have plenty of tips on Food Preservation, Home Gardening, Composting, Water Conservation, Energy Efficiency, and Bike Building. And a special van with folks who can show you how to make your own ink!

Once we have completed the workshops, some of us will hit the streets from 3-5PM and go door-to-door innearby neighborhoods, talking about programs, policies, & resources for household sustainability. We will reconvene at 5PM to have a potluck and share stories from the day.

Join us at Frenchy's Field on Agua Fria on 10/10/10!
