1st MARATHON BIKE FESTIVAL

Athens has a variety of problems related to a car-dependent culture. The two-day event of the first bike festival weekend of 9th and 10th of October hosts several events centered around biking as a recreational, healthy, eco-friendly, fun and athletic activity that holds the key to a better environmental, social and economic future in our cities.
With this festival we hope to help in raising awareness to the local community and visitors concerning the benefits of biking. There will be bike rides, bike testing, practice bike riding to youngsters and adult beginners, bicycle maintenance, discussions, bike tours and more...
