350 Economic and Political Action Table

There will be an action table set up at the celebration dinner for the Tour de Farmington bike ride and local farm tour. Come out to enjoy some music in the park and do some things to encourage our elected officials to be a little more green. (The larger event is being catered for Tour participants, so if you want to get in on the food, register at http://www.westernmountainsalliance.org/TourdeFarmington.html. There's a sign up there for the veggie Mexican meal. Also, if you plan to stay and listen to the Sandy River Ramblers play, a donation is recommended.)

At the table, we will have:

-Brochures for the Better World Club, a green alternative to AAA. Sign up at our table and get a 10% membership discount. (Go to betterworldclub.com to find out more.)

-Petitions to sign calling on Maine Senators to protect the Clean Air Act. (Both Snowe and Collins voted earlier in the year for a failed resolution that would have rolled back the EPA's ability to regulate greenhouse gasses.)

-1Sky.org Stickers, Buttons, Posters and even a couple T-shirts to give out.
