Get on your bike!!
Sunday, 10 October, 2010 - 11:00 - 13:00
Would you like to cut down on your CO2 emissions by riding your bike? Make a start at the Bikes and Kites Festival. While you're there visit the Chelsea Heights EarthCarers display and learn about cutting down your food miles by growing your own food. Make a start by planting a seed to take home. Have a tour of the EarthCarers Community garden next door and find out how to become part of this ongoing community project or be inspired to grow your own fresh healthy food and reduce your emissions.
PS We were going to run our own bike maintenance workshop until we realised the Bikes and Kites event was happening next door. We'll still run the workshop sometime in the next few months. Let me know if you want me to email you info when we get it planned.
How to Get Involved Planning the Event: Come to the EarthCarers meeting on Thursdays from 10am to 12noon during school term or ring Robyn on 9772 1664
Event Host: Chelsea Heights EarthCarers is a sustainable living and climate action group and coordinates the EarthCarers Community Garden. We're a part of the Chelsea Heights Community Centre www.chelseaheightscommunitycentre.com.au
