Global Volunteers Get to Work!

Global Volunteers International will be participating in the global work party on 10/10/10 in 23 countries across the globe. Plans are still be solidified but they will include a range of events from a river clean on the Mekong and environmental education in Laos, to beach cleans and environmental education on the Meso-American Barrier Reef in Mexico, to refurbishing location adult education centers and installing energy efficient light-bulbs in Au-Luk, Thailand, building energy efficient stoves in Panajachel and Antigua, Guatemala, and Otavalo in Ecuador, building water storage tanks in Arequipa, Peru, planting trees and supplying education and alternative livelihood training in Kenya, with environmental education lessons and other activities based around sustainable development throughout the world.
