Greenhouse from Recycled Windows and Doors

Sunday, 10 October, 2010 - 10:00 - 15:00

We'll be building a greenhouse out of recycled lumber, windows and doors from the Rebuilding Center. Bring your hammers, drills/drivers, saws, eye protection and gloves. Bring cameras and videocams... we'll document the process, and send the images to 350.org. Later that evening we'll join the TransitionPDX picnic/potluck (central Portland, check the celebration listing for details) to celebrate all the Portland 10/10/10 actions, with images of our project and all the others as well.

How to Get Involved Planning the Event: We're breaking down a HUGE pine pallet (used to ship ginormous wind turbine parts) starting at noon on Saturday (10/9) for the lumber for the greenhouse, and could use as much help as we can get! We may break it down on the reBuilding Center's auxillary lot behind the Grand Central Bakery on N Fremont 1 1/2 blocks east of Mississippi... OR we may truck it over to my place to break it down - call me on my cel 503.703.3702 if you need directions. Dress for weather and bring gloves, eye protection, pry bars, sledge hammers, hammers, wrenches, etc. Come help!
