"Kick the Bottle"
Sunday, 10 October, 2010 - 14:30 - 16:30
The League of Women Voters-Arlington Area (LWVAA), in conjunction with the UTA Environmental Society and other student and faculty volunteers, and the Arlington Conservation Council (ACC) have planned a "Kick the Bottle" project to begin immediately with water "taste tests" at festivals and other events around town. Having compared, we will urge people to sign a pledge to avoid bottled water when tap water is available. This project will culminate on October 10, 2010 with a viewing of the award-winning documentary Tapped (Stephanie Soechtig and Jason Lindsey, Atlas Films, 2009) at 2:30 at UTA, in the Lone Star Auditorium (inside the MAC) where we will take a photo for 350.org
