Open house at Superfood Citizen Café of Beacon with demonstrations of organic, local & raw food preparation and personal experiences of discovering and utilizing the local agricultural resources of the Hudson Valley, and what it's been like starting a green low-carbon footprint business. Plus, some pretty delicious food in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Hoping for some special guests to talk about and demonstrate aspects of local food and food systems. Check again for exact times.

How to Get Involved Planning the Event: Be a special invited guest, or encourage someone else to be. Help demonstrate raw and/or local food preparation, talk about the process of discovering and using local food, or your experience starting a low- carbon food related business.

Event Host: The Lower & Mid Hudson Valley Network is a new organization whose first task has been creating and promoting 10/10/10 events. Its ongoing work will include climate change issues as well as community organizing, youth programs and many other initiatives. Visit LMHVNetwork.org
