Samba To Save Forests.
Sunday, 10 October, 2010 - 08:00 - 15:00
If you like playing drums, bus travel and protecting our environment..this is for you!!
Our 350.org action involves traveling to the Forests NSW Cumberland Forest Fair at West Pennant Hills with a team of Samba players and educating the community about the value of leaving our native forests in the ground as vital carbon sinks. Forests NSW "manage" 2.1 million hectares of native and plantation forests in NSW. Our message is that ending deforestation is a vital factor in halting climate change.
Everyone is welcome to join our Samba band (even if you've never played before). But please book!! We will get expert tuition from 'Tom The Pom" of Samba Ninja.
