Smörgåsbord of gardening and community activities!
Sunday, 10 October, 2010 - 10:10 - 22:10
On Sunday 10 October you can head along to either, or both, Öster 2 or the Working Gardens at any time between 11 and 4 to check out the gardens. At Öster 2, the community allotment garden will be open for you to walk through and gain an insight to what goes on in the community allotment. Öster 2 is just to visit, but at the Working Garden you can roll up your sleeves and get to work gardening & learn about what is in season to plant and harvest. We have lots of jobs on the programme so be ready to get to work! Please bring appropriate clothing. Tools will be available, however if you would like to bring your own you are welcome, and you might like to bring gloves also.
To ensure that you know how to get to the 2 different allotment sites, at 10am and at 13h, groups will be guided from the AF building to the sites, either by bike or by walking. If you live close to the allotments it might be easier for you to go directly there. Or, if you would like a fun group walk or bike ride - you are welcome to join us!
Here are the options for the guided walk:
1.The biking tour - First to visit Öster 2 and then on to Working Gardens; or
2. The walking tour to visit Öster 2 and then there will be an option for those who want to garden at the Working Garden to be guided from Öster 2 to the Working Gardens. (Please note this is quite a decent urban hike so bring comfortable walking gear & appropriate clothing.); or
3. The walking group directly to the Working Gardens for those who want to get to work and not visit the open allotments at Oster 2.
The gardening will finish up around 4pm - we look forward to seeing you there!
From 17h the movie "Home" will be screened at Ekologihuset, the venue is called Blåa hallen.
Followed by a Fika break and from 19h a panel discussion with Professor Svante Björck (Lund University Center for Studies of Carbon Cycle and Climate Interactions), Elisabeth Ernehag (CSR consultant with Ernehag Consulting AB), & Jesper Liveröd (Greenpeace Sweden's communications director).
You can find more details, including a map with the gardens and location of the movie, at http://www.350lund.tk
