TCS KidsForTigers at The Shri Ram School (Vasant Vihar)

When TCS KidsForTigers organized Tiger Fest on 11 Feb 2009 at The Shri Ram School Vasant Vihar, 17 schools from Delhi & Gurgaon participated in the big event.
The schools started decorating their stalls after the registration at 9:00 am. The theme for the stall decoration was 'Critical Wildlife Habitats.' The schools had put games as well for the
students in the stalls. NGOs like Corbett Foundation, Wildlife Action Trust and Kriti setting up their stalls. 'NewNationalAnimal' campaign stall was attracting huge crowds of students.
At 9:30 am all the students, teachers and other guests assembled in the front field for
the 350 formation. After a brief explanation by Bittu Sehgal, Editor, Sanctuary magazine on the 350 campaign, a top view picture was taken of everybody standing in the form of 350 in the field. The inauguration began at 10:00 am which was followed by a talk on the link between climate change and wildlife conservation by Bittu Sehgal.
The first activity was the Fashion Show where the students had to display the dresses made up of recycled and reused material. This was followed a number of competitions like extempore, animal sounds, face painting, model display, photography display, power point
presentation, etc.
The event saw some brilliant and innovative works from students. Tata Consultancy Services also lent its support by sending twelve of its employees to volunteer in the event. They were there throughout the festival and they also put up MAITREE stall in the Festival.
