(1) Awareness about 350 ppm to Trainee Teachers for Visually Impaired and Hearing Impaired at Dr.Hellen Keller Government Training Center, Mysore, (2) 350.org PPT - Burn about 50 CDs & distribute to Educational Intitutions/NGOs/RWAs in Mysore

350.org Activities conducted : (1) 10-8-10 First Workshop - Interacted with trainee teachers, delivered lecture about need for environmental education to children who are deaf, dumb and blind and disabled to make them aware of the world around them and created awareness on need for protection and preservation of natural resources, climate change, global warming and its impact.
(2) 2-9-10 - Second Workshop - Used 350.org PPT downloaded to explain why 350 ppm of CO2 is absolutely necessary to avoid future vulnarabilities for catastrophes due to climate change in our environment to about 60 Trainee Teachers for Visually Impaired and Hearing Impaired children.
(3) During inauguration of the year long activities of Green Guides of the JSS Law College, Kuvempunagara, Mysore, delivered a talk on environmental issues and also have floated the idea of conducting a major activity on 10/10/10 - The Would-be Advocates have shown great enthusiasm and they have requested for guidance from me.
(4) Met the Principal and Head of the Department of Environment, Mahajana First Grade Degree College, Jayalakshmipuram, Mysore, explained to them about the forthcoming global activity of 350.org on 10/10/10 and they have evinced interest and in the coming days, I will be finalising a plan of action for 10/10/10
(5) My Hunsur activity which is already registered with 350.org is gaining strength and friends of saveourearthclub.org are making arrangements for the event on 10/10/10
FUTURE COURSE OF ACTION
(A) All these days, I was using my PPT on Environmental issues for my lectures, workshops etc.,and now my task has been made easy by 350.org. I have downloaded and saved the PPT uploaded by 350.org for use by registered organisers; it is a very useful tool for creating awareness andinterest. My plan between 3-9-10 and 10-9-10 is to make as many copies of this PPT in CDs, meet as many institutions, NGOs as possible, conduct 350 ppm workshop hand them over a copy each of the 350 ppm is to make copies of the PPT sent by 350.org
(B) For the Hunsur Town activity on 10/10/10, my plan is to have an interactive workshop with the farmers growing tobacco (a health hazard), need for protecting soil from degradation, need for developing a mind set for growing alternate crops, their selfishness for better wealth creation is resulting in thousands of people dying a premature death with Cancer directly attributable to tobacco related diseases, how such deaths are denying family problems, loss of human resource and also how millions of smokers are contributing CO2 and Carbon Monoxide that are causing climate change, global warming.
