Recognized as one of the 13 Thunderbeings by a Blackfoot Medicine Man (Medicine Bear Chief), Alex Kash is a singer/songwriter and registered Native American artist who has always been on a path of planetary healing. Born and raised in San Francisco, Alex Kash has been performing in bands professionally as a singer, guitarist, and bassist since the age of 13. In 2003 he was chosen best singer by the readers of the Calaveras Enterprise Newspaper, near Lake Tahoe in California, and he won two best vocalist awards from the La Grange Homecoming Contest, in California. Born into Russian and Native Alaskian roots, Alex benefitted from two people in his family, his band leader grandfather, and experimental musician and relative through marriage, John Cage. The first, supplying him with the instruments to learn, and the latter with the courage to try something different. Alex is a musical artist who has touched almost every genre and milieu, which he feels is the best recipe for Planetary Healing and Love that he can offer his audiences.
An accomplished recording artist, recording engineer, music producer, songwriter and arranger, Alex has 10 CD's of original songs ( 'My Voices', 'Climbing/Longing', 'Reflections', 'Learning To Love', 'Florida Heat', 'Organic Alchemy', 'Film Music, Volume 1', 'The Record Plant Masters' and 'Love & Emotion') in current release, and has written a song for a multiplatinum album: Pat Travers (“Crash and Burn” album), and a song for Journey (“Look Into The Future” album), and sang on sessions for Van Morrison, Narada Michael Walden, Pablo Cruise, The New Riders of the Purple Sage, Stacy Lattisaw, Enzo Avitabile and others. Alex is mentioned in “Who’s Who In America” as composer of a classical piece for ballet, entitled “Transitions”, and is also involved in music for film, theatre, and television.
Currently living in Florida, Alex continues to write and produce with his wife Bethany Dalton-Kash. Alex performs throughout South Florida singing and playing solo musical engagements, accompanied by 12 string acoustic guitar and occasional harmonica. 'Whole New World' is Alex's 10th CD, and the CD release will be celebrated on 10/10/10 as Alex's Thunderbeing message to the world, which will be a message to bring planetary healing.
