Youth Network Seminar and Tree Planting

Youth groups from the Upper Andaman Coast have been operating sustainable development projects for several years. They have been taking an active part in decision making for important issues which have an impact on their life and resources. Networking amongst these groups helps to continue to build their capacity and supports region-wide sustainable development.

This seminar, the Second Annual Youth Network Seminar, aims to encourage young people to become aware of their role and impact on sustainable resource management. In honor of 10/10/10, youth participants will also engage in a tree planting activity in conjunction with NGOs working in the region (IUCN, Mangrove Action Project (MAP), Andaman Discoveries, Wetlands International, and Thailand Environment Institute).
