Zithulele Alien Hack on Wild Coast
Sunday, 10 October, 2010 - 10:00 - 15:00
We will be clearing Inkberry (an invasive alien) in the stream that leads into the Mncwasa River. Thereby freeing up the water system which becomes a problem in the dryer winter months. The wood will be dried and allocated to elderly ladies from the village to be used as fire wood.
It is part of a bigger Village Greening Project which incorporates; planting indigenous trees, refuse management, a nursery, parks and environmental awareness.
It wont be all work and no play. Bring axe, panga, saw, your swimming gear and a picnic lunch.
