Food Biochar Compost
A day to cook and enjoy food in a carbon negative way using a Biochar producing top lit up draft stove (TLUD).
We will process the resulting biochar into earth enriching compost using various methods.
The resulting biochar will be added to a compost system,compost teas, then used in planting trials at the Moss Vale Community Garden.
Please bring some food to cook and share on this wonderful carbon negative biomass stove - BBQ.
Why clean biomass stoves are so important ?
We will be making some simple tin can stoves.

Event Host: The Southern Highlands Moss Vale Community Garden grows a broad variety of edible plants. Locals from around the area come together to create and sustain the community garden. We also celebrate the days gardening activities with morning tea and light lunch. The community garden is an educational resource for anybody interested in growing food organically, and living in a more sustainable way.
