Great Power Race Media Info
The Great Power Race is a clean energy competition between students in China, India, and the US. Three months ago, students from each country wrote in an email, "Our parents raced to the moon. Our generation will race for planet Earth." Since then, more than 400 campuses have registered for the Great Power Race, with India and China leading the way.
This fall, the official competition will begin as students race to gain points for clean energy projects on their campus. Follow the race first hand by connecting with universities in each country and the campaign coordinators in Delhi, Beijing, and Oakland, CA.
Al Gore recently said of the race, "I'll be keeping a close eye on the outcome of the Great Power Race, because it's exactly the kind of competition we need --a friendly contest to create a vision for our collective future, one where we don't cling to the past but instead strike out boldly in a new direction."
