its a creative collective using and recycling in the most artistic way you can. Some of Niues throw aways,forgotten discarded treasures and interesting objects have been unearthed found and gathered ready for your flair. Leave your artistic mark at Hikulagi Sculpture Park on Saturday 9th October 8am start and through the better and cooler part of the morning.

People needed on ground level, middle and upper reaches. Upper reaches suited for people who love heights. You may need to bring your own hammer but we should have some available on site. Or we can share.
All Welcome, tourists and visitors to Niue during this time most welcome, welcome, welcome come all.

As I look through the other Nations events for 10/10/10 Its absolutely
great to see Niue's event is so unique, no other Nation is doing what
we will do.
We will be creating a sculpture for our 10/10/10 event. Protean
Habitat is an apt name for our Niue sculpture It will change perhaps
even morph into a completely different shape. Which is bound to gradually happen as people over the coming years add their own artistic recyclable pieces to Protean Habitat. A collaborative statement to Climate Change.

At this moment any interesting durable trash is fair game for our event.
We like to think not trash for recycling but upcycling where value is
added to recyclables in a creative artistic way.
All over the world famous artists in upcycling materials are producing
art works that are thought provoking and absolutely inspiring.
Niue will be upcycling for our event and we can inspire a world.
Our small nation has huge capacity to start a movement for more
inspired creative upcycling community projects like ours. Will other
type Protean Habitats start upcycling around the world as a result from our
efforts. We here on Niue like to think so.

There are many different levels one can look at in upcycling.
Interesting though, Its like our throw away trash is thrown back at us
to look at in a different way a creative way. Also What different
components make up the whole. And question do we as a people on this
planet really throw away all this stuff.
