The Shoalhaven Climate Change Progress Picnic

WHAT: A Picnic in Park!
WHERE: Greys Beach, Shoalhaven River. North side of the river. We'll be in the first 'shady' park. Look for the coloured flags.
WHEN: 10am- 1pm This Sunday. 10/10/10
WHY:To share ideas and support each other in finding ways the Shoalhaven Region can move towards living sustainably. To brain storm ideas for local challenges and opportunities such as Local Food Production and Energy Generation & Carbon Reduction Initiatives and New Green Industries.
POSSIBILITIES:Working with our elected representatives is an integral part of the above becomming a reality. If there is the interest, a collective (formal or unformal) could be formed that supports and encourages our reps to be decisive and ernest in taking real steps that begin to address climate change now. Primarily this collective could serve as a local 'well' of people who along with their energy, ideas and resources make good things happen!
WHAT TO BRING: It's a picnic! Bring food & drink, a picnic blanket perhaps and as it may be wet ....so an umbrella and good humour! It goes without saying....please tell your friends and share this link!
