2015 broke records.
Let’s break our own in 2016.

2015 was the hottest year ever — but it was also a historic year for the global climate movement.

Last year, we saw extreme weather reach new levels and impact millions of lives. We enter 2016 with deep concern. The window to act and prevent catastrophic climate change is shrinking.

Yet there is hope. In 2015, we had the biggest day of coordinated action against climate change ever, stopped pipelines and coal mines, and moved billions of dollars out of the fossil fuel industry.

The pace at which the planet is warming is truly alarming, so we must match with our own escalation. 2016 needs to be the year we go bigger.  Here’s what you can do to join us:

2. Double-down on Divestment:

PNG divest

Last year we set a new record: funds managing over $3.4 trillion have now made divestment declarations targeting coal, oil and gas companies. This year we will use new revelations about Big Oil’s decades-long cover up of climate science to boost that number even higher. See what we’ve done, and what we can do next to divest from destruction.
