This summer, 350 is launching the first cohort of the Frontlines Video Fellowship: a 3-month-long, part-time, paid opportunity from September through November 2019.
Fellows will do local video storytelling and get training and support so that fellows are positioned to continue to collaborate with 350 and other partner orgs after the fellowship, and continue to tell stories about the impacts their communities are facing.
If you have a passion for justice, equity and climate action, we’re looking for applicants who have:
We’re expecting fellows to work 12 hours per week, at a pay rate of $25/hour. Fellows will be paid in two installments of $1,800 at the beginning and end of the fellowship.
The fellowship will begin in September and go through November 2019.
In each location, fellows will create 3 videos on local climate impacts, leaders and solutions.
Fellows will be working with the U.S. Video Coordinator and other digital, communications, and organizing staff at 350.org. Fellows will give and receive peer support and feedback and will receive digital training sessions with the full fellows team.
In each location the fellow is located, we will strive to connect you with a local community organizing group and filmmaker mentor. The U.S. Video Coordinator will check in with you regularly to discuss opportunities and provide coaching.
Since this is not a video production training program, it is essential that fellows have experience with video production, including shooting and editing. It’s also important that fellows have a commitment to justice and equity, the climate justice movement and community organizing.
