Big Oil billionaires and their political allies want us to believe fossil fuels mean stability and growth. They don’t. New pipelines and fossil fuel expansion mean short term profits for a powerful few – while the rest of us deal with destruction, climate chaos, and rising energy costs.

Right now, the federal government is reviving toxic tar sands pipelines, gutting climate policy, and undermining Indigenous rights, all while calling it “nation building.” Many of these projects aren’t even Canadian-owned! What we actually need is real resilience, like an East-West Grid delivering affordable, reliable, renewable electricity coast to coast to coast.

Toxic Trivia is sneak-attack political education. It’s a low-pressure way to fact-check the propaganda, help your campus community understand what’s at stake, and turn that understanding into action. Together, we can myth-bust industry lies – and have fun doing it!
