Guest blog from Hilda – one of our amazing volunteers in Hong Kong, China

Dear 350 friends in Hong Kong,

With one day left until the Global Work Party, the Hong Kong 350.org team needs your help to make our 10/10/10 Green Art Jam a success.

A picture is worth a thousand words, and we want participants to help us bring attention to the fact that we have a culture of convenience in HK that could use some updating (weíre not trying to blame peoplesí choices, we just want the art to raise public awareness), and send a message: we need to do something about it now and offer solutions.

Our event will be held at The Westwood in Sai Wan from 1-5pm on Sunday, October 10, 2010. It's not too late to sign up for the ArtJam if you'd like to help us build one of the largest art installations made from non-recyclable disposable materials. The completed sculptures (designed by Kenny Shiu) will be used to make a big 350 formation at the very end. We'll also be providing FREE lunch IF you bring your own utensils (chopsticks and a bowl) for our Bring Your Own Bowl Picnic (while supplies last). 🙂

There is still time to RSVP for the Art Jam & BYOB or show up!
