# COP24

### Katowice, Poland. 3 – 14 December 2018.

Governments from around the world are in Katowice to decide the “rulebook” for sticking to the Paris Agreement. In October, the world’s leading climate scientists warned that we need to take action now to keep global warming to a maximum of 1.5 degrees. It was a wake up call for decision-makers at every level.

Even half a degree more will significantly worsen the risks of drought, floods, extreme heat and poverty that hundreds of millions of people are already feeling.

**There’s no other way to stop climate breakdown, we must keep fossil fuels in the ground and _urgently_ transition towards 100% renewable energy for all. People power can get this done.** We are willing to hold our governments accountable.
