Die Landschaft des Tals, das sich zwischen die wundersch\u00f6nen Bergz\u00fcge des Strzelecki-Gebirges und den Baw-Baw-Nationalpark schmiegt, ist von den Narben des mehr als ein Jahrhundert w\u00e4hrenden Kohleabbaus gezeichnet. Doch nicht nur die Landschaft wird durch diese Industrie belastet. Das Tal ist eines der grauenvollsten Beispiele daf\u00fcr, wie die Kohle-, \u00d6l- und Gasindustrie menschliche Gemeinschaften zerr\u00fcttet. Die \u00d6konomie der erneuerbaren Energien darf nicht derselben kranken Logik folgen wie das Wirtschaftssystem der fossilen Brennstoffe.
