Yesterday I had the pleasure of appearing on a radio program with one of 350's great allies, Ronny Jumeau, ambassador to the UN from the Seychelles. The Seychelles is a small island in the Indian Ocean. Ronny and I spoke on World Focus radio on the subject of the impact of climate change on small islands, as well as our impressions of how the outcome at Copenhagen will affect islands.

As you know from reading our blog, island nations, and specifically the Alliance of Small Island States, have been unequivocally supportive of the 350 ppm goal, and the related goal of keeping temperature rise below 1.5 degrees Celcius (using the phrase "1.5 to Stay Alive). You'd be hard pressed to find a part of the planet more wrapped up in the climate challenge. The twin challenges of rising sea levels, and the impact of ocean acificiation on coral reefs leave islands in a particularly vulnerable position.

We continue to stand with our allies on Islands, keeping the message loud and clear that it's time to stop putting more Carbon in the atmosphere. Period.
