Rock ‘n Renew’s Executive Director Jonny Dubowsky curated a day focused on restoring the health of the local environment. In partnership with New York Restoration Project and the 1 Million Trees project we gave away over 150 trees to members of the community at A. Philip Randolph High School in Harlem and planted native plants that Rock ‘n Renew/Randolph students grew from seed in the green house. Through this event almost a hundred tons of CO2 will be sequestered and the native ecosystem will be treated to the natural equivalent of a spa day at a time when nature is used to being treated like dirt! A great time was had by all who participated and the action will continue as Rock ‘n Renew’s weekly workshop series begins in the greenhouse at Randolph High!A
