The U.S. is a coastal country, with 94,000 miles of it and more than $1 trillion in coastal infrastructure. But according to the National Climate Assessment’s Coasts chapter, these areas are getting more vulnerable to sea level rise, erosion, flooding, and other climate-related hazards.
