Why should I make a petition?
- To apply pressure on a campaign target by demonstrating public support for your campaign and;
- To grow your campaign and build a list of supporters for recruitment and future activities.
Across the globe, communities are reclaiming their power by producing clean, renewable energy.
In Chad, people are putting solar panels on schools and small businesses where there is no electrical grid. In the Amazon, Indigenous communities are using solar to stay independent from oil. In South Africa, communities are transforming old mines into shining renewable energy plants that power homes and transitions away from fossil fuels.
A fossil free world is ours in the making. In every corner of the world, communities who have been least served by the fossil fuel era are coming together to build safe, affordable and reliable energy.

We believe that the building blocks of any successful project is building relationships. When it is about building community-led renewable energy, the way to success is blurry: how you find the money, how you deal with the bureaucracy, etc. So, it is important to have people and spaces that will support your journey.
Our Own Power Network is a space for local community project leads. You could be someone who just started or an already exciting community energy project who want to share your story as inspiration to people. Here, we will problem-solve collectively, share resources, training opportunities, and contacts, and learn what’s innovative and best practice for successful community-led renewable energy.
After you apply, we will assess your application and be in touch. If successful, you will have access to our communication channels, webinars and trainings across the world. You’ll feel plugged into a global movement that can create bigger change together than alone!
