One of our 350 heroes, [President Mohammed Nasheed](https://www.presidencymaldives.gov.mv/4/?ref=1,5,4116) of the Maldives, has just received the most prestigious United Nations environmental prize. He was named as one of the winners of the 2010 "Champions of the Earth" award. From the [underwater cabinet meeting](../../maldives) to his [survival speech](../../about/blogs/maldives-president-mohamed-nasheeds-survival-speech) last November, from [declaring a national goal of carbon neutrality](../../about/blogs/maldives-first-country-go-carbon-neutral) in 10 years to [leading a rally](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivcEmVWSqxs) at the UN climate negotiations in Copenhagen this past December, President Nasheed has undoutedly been one of the climate movement's great champions in the last year.

Congratulations to President Nasheed, and to all the passionate and active citizens in the Maldives working to make their country a role model for climate action. Now it's time for all of us to [Get to Work](../../1010) at the scale of ambition as the Maldives.
