Kim Bryan

The climate crisis is here

Welcome to 350.org’s media pack for COP31 in Antalya, Türkiye, taking place from 9–20 November 2026.

This is your go-to resource for covering our work before, during and beyond the negotiations. Here you’ll find the latest information on our priorities, key events, spokespeople and media opportunities, alongside photos, video and contacts to help you tell the stories that matter.

Our focus at COP31 is turning climate commitments into action: securing credible national roadmaps to transition away from fossil fuels, advancing electrification powered by renewable energy, and pushing for the climate finance needed to deliver a fair and equitable transition. We’ll also be working alongside frontline communities and allies through the People’s Climate Summit, the People’s Climate March and the Make Polluters Pay coalition.

Here’s what you’ll find in this pack:

  • 350.org at COP31: Our key demands or what needs to be delivered at this year’s climate summit.
  • Key events and press conferences: Media opportunities, briefings, actions and moments to watch throughout COP31.

Demands

COP31 stands as a pivotal moment for global climate action. This year’s summit lands in the middle of the biggest energy crisis in history and in a year of unprecedented climate impacts. From deadly heatwaves and wildfires to catastrophic flooding, communities are facing increasingly devastating climate impacts while fossil fuel companies continue to profit from the very industry driving the crisis. Dependence on coal, oil and gas is leaving households and economies exposed to volatile energy prices, geopolitical instability and growing insecurity.

The era of the 1.5°C overshoot is upon us, as the chasm between hollow pledges and necessary action continues to widen. But the fight for 1.5°C and a more livable planet is not yet over. Ten years after the Paris Agreement, COP31 must deliver more than words: it must mark the moment global leaders finally act with the scale and urgency the climate crisis demands.

Antalya serves as a poignant backdrop for this task. As a country spanning two continents and facing its own frontline climate vulnerabilities, Türkiye is uniquely positioned to highlight the need for immediate, localized, and global climate action. Hosting the COP here must focus the world’s attention on the real frontlines of the climate crisis.

350.org is urging governments to focus on four priorities at COP31:

  • Deliver a credible transition away from fossil fuels: Build on the momentum from COP30 and Santa Marta towards a just, orderly and equitable phase-out of coal, oil and gas, with clear milestones and accountability.
  • Make polluters pay: Introduce stronger, permanent taxes on fossil fuel companies’ profits and other measures to ensure fossil fuel companies contribute to climate recovery, adaptation and the transition to clean energy.
  • Electrification via the acceleration of accessible renewable energy: Expand wind and solar, strengthen electricity grids and storage, and ensure that electrification reduces fossil fuel dependence rather than reinforcing it.
  • Deliver climate finance and a just transition: Ensure wealthier countries and major polluters provide the finance, technology and support needed by emerging economies and communities on the frontline of climate impacts.

350.org, its team in Türkiye, and our partners from frontline communities worldwide are in Antalya to bridge these negotiations with people’s lived realities: worsening climate impacts, the escalating cost of living, and the urgent need for equitable energy access.
