## Tell G7 finance ministers to pay up: fund the transition to renewables and stop funding fossil fuels!


A fair switch to renewable energy needs a transformative financial plan. A big part of that plan requires the richest countries to make big investments to deal with climate change.

**The world’s wealthiest nations — the G7 — must:**

1. **Stop funding coal, oil and gas abroad and fund renewable energy instead.**
2. **Give much more finance to help poorer countries to make the transition to renewables**

We can’t afford more time-wasting. As the largest funders of fossil fuels and historically the biggest greenhouse gas emitters, they hold a unique power and responsibility.
