In the past our main campaigns have been for fossil fuel divestment and stopping fracking. The divestment movement is still going strong across the UK, head to the Fossil Free UK website to get involved.
350.org is a global organisation with staff based all over the world. In the UK, we work with volunteers, networks and partners as part of the climate justice movement.
Meet the UK staff team:

our Fossil Free Finance campaign, as well as COP26 and Build Back Better.

350.org was founded in 2008 by a group of university friends in the United States along with author Bill McKibben, who wrote one of the first books on global warming for the general public. The goal was to build a global climate movement. 350 was named after 350 parts per million — the safe concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
Today 350 works on campaigns across the globe: from opposing coal plants and mega-pipelines, to supporting renewable energy solutions and cutting financial flows to fossil fuels. All of our work leverages people power to dismantle the influence and infrastructure of the fossil fuel industry.
