One year ago, Typhoon Haiyan slammed into the Philippines. The storm and its coastal surge left more than 7,000 dead or missing, destroyed more than 1.1 million homes and affected 14 million people.

Now, only one year later, Typhoon Hagupit has brought a second wave of destruction to the Philippines, destroying towns that were only just starting to rebuild after Haiyan.

After Haiyan, more than 15,000 people were living in tent cities. Many from poverty-stricken areas with very limited access to resources. Now after Hagupit, they will need to start again.

350.org is calling on its supporters to donate to fund recovery efforts. By donating on this page, 100% of your donations will go to the  Citizens Disaster Response Center (CDRC)

As part of the Consortium for People’s Development, the CDRC assists the most affected, least served and most vulnerable sectors of the population through preparedness and mitigation, emergency relief, and rehabilitation programs. Your donation will support programs such as rebuilding houses and other structures, long-term recovery of infrastructure such as water systems, and sustainable development including reforestation and agriculture support. CDRC has been helping people in the Philippines since 1984.
