Montreal, QC – In response to announcements that Canada will pursue a national carbon price, 350.org Canada organizer Aurore Fauret issued this statement.
“This week Justin Trudeau wants to be a climate leader, but last week his government approved a massive fossil fuel project – he can’t have it both ways. A carbon price is only part of the equation. Real climate leadership means rejecting projects like the Kinder Morgan pipeline that would make it impossible to meet our Paris climate commitments.”
