This Tuesday in the state of Veracruz, Mexico (the second largest in the country), 4,000 high school student leaders came together for a powerful day of presentations and training on climate change and youth leadership.  The 350 Mexico organizers, along with 10 youth leaders from around Mexico and Latin America formed the facilitation team, and they really rocked it!  The energy was certainly electric inside the conference center – maybe that's just what you get when you put 4,000 16-18 year olds – but I think it had a lot to do with the powerful messages they were receiving.  Many of them are already in touch with us, brainstorming ways to get to work in their schools and in their communities for 10/10.  Last year there were an estimated 100 events in Veracruz alone on October 24th – so we can only imagine how they'll be getting to work this year!  If you were at the conference and are reading this, write to us at [email protected] or sign up your event today at www.350.org/es/oct10 – no need to have all the details together just yet.

A view of the crowd – that's a lot of young people ready to get to work!
