The Montaverde Cloud forest in Costa Rica is one of the most studied places on earth

Bill McKibben

Since 1972, rainfall in Monteverde has increased 38% from 2.5 meters per
year to 3.5 meters per year and the number of dry days has increased 300%
from 28 days per year to 82 days per year. Species such as the golden toad
have disappeared; toucans are taking over the territories of quetzals;
dengue is here; and landslides are more frequent.
