Before the Event
- Check your internet connection: A stable internet connection is key. We recommend using a wired connection or positioning yourself close to your Wi-Fi router.
- Use a supported browser: We recommend Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for the best experience. If you’re using Safari or Edge, make sure it’s updated.
- Test your access: Click on the event link in advance to ensure it loads properly. If needed, allow permissions for your microphone.
- Update your Zoom app: Make sure you have the latest version installed to avoid device compatibility and connectivity issues. If you do not have Zoom installed, you can download it here: https://zoom.us/download
- Check your inbox for any last minute updates about the webinar.
- Make sure you have the time converted to your local timezone and the correct date. Convert your timezone here: https://www.worldtimebuddy.com/
- Join early: Log in at least 10 minutes before the session starts to resolve any last-minute issues.
During the Event
Trouble accessing the event?
- Try refreshing your browser or closing and reopening the link.
- If that doesn’t work, clear your cache or try using an incognito/private window.
- If all else fails, restart your device and try again.
- In the event the Zoom webinar capacity is exhausted, make sure to check your email for a livestream link to YouTube, where you will be able to watch the panel. You may also just check the Renew Our Power website’s Panel section where we will also place the live video.
No sound?
- Check if your device is muted or if the browser tab is silenced.
- If using headphones, ensure they are properly connected.
- Try switching to a different device or browser.
Interpretation needed?
- For Spanish or Portuguese interpretation make sure to use the webinar menu and find the 🌐 icon to choose the interpretation you require.
- If you do not hear the interpretation, please let us know through the chat and we will work on the issue.
Audio and/or video not working?
- Make sure you’ve allowed Zoom to operate in your browser or device settings.
- Restart your browser or exit the app and rejoin the event.
