It was very cool to open up email this morning and find a link saying 350 is in Nepal’s largest selling newspaper, the Kathmandu Post!

Led by our friends at Nepalese Youth for Climate Action, YES Nepal, Yatra, OESW, Nepal Development Foundation, and 1 Degree Initiative there are tremendous plans in store for the 24th in Nepal.  From the Swayambunath temple, a world heritage site in Kathmandu to Lumbini, the place where the Buddha was born — there are incredible actions planned for the day.  And to kick things off Pemba Dorje Sherpa, the world record holder for the fastest climb of Mt Everest, recently trekked up to Everest Base Camp with a banner that says, "350 — Save Our Himalayas."  And he passed on the banner to an expedition that will be attempting to take it to the summit in the coming weeks — weather allowing.
