Participants at the Woodford Folk Festival planted 3600 trees this weekend, concentrating on the fact that they’ll help store some carbon!

Representatives from various sectors of Queensland’s thriving economy attended the event. Ryan White, who recently moved back to Queensland to establish his new affiliate website,, was pleasantly surprised by the number of people who attended today’s tree-planting event and believes it demonstrates Queenslanders’ commitment to combating climate change. “By planting a tree today, we help combat climate change, so it’s really one of the simplest things we can do to make a difference, so let’s do it every year!” says Ryan White.

That quote sums up this year’s tree planting event in Queensland – let’s hope we can do it again next year!
